certificate from Informatics and TESDA

I’m still waiting for my certificate from TESDA and Informatics. Last year, around October, I finished a short course for web design wherein for almost two months, I went to SM City Cebu to sit through a discussion on Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash. It was good cause it was free and I was able to go through the class despite being busy with a number of things.

I called Informatics in SM and they told me that I’ll just have to call them from time to time since they still don’t have the certificates available as they’re waiting for TESDA to send them the documents.

It’s sad knowing the speed of service of public institutions. I’ll just have to wait for it until it arrives which is a total bummer.

done with class!

It’s the end of my class and have I learned something? –> In a way, yes. I’m glad to have learned some basic techniques as to how I can navigate the tools used in Photoshop, Flash and Dreamweaver. Although I’m still not an expert and I haven’t really fully understood everything, I’m glad to at least have a background on the basics. I know now what the layers in Photoshop are there for.

It’s good that I was able to get this TESDA and Informatics Web Design class for about two months. To think that I never thought that I could get this short course for free; it’s even under a government scholarship! –> haha, me, under a scholarship. The world must have gone nuts.

Anyway, it’s the last day and I’m glad that this is already over as I don’t have to exert as much effort to waking up early for work so I can get out in time for school. I’ll have more time for myself and I’ll be able to focus more on the other things I wish to develop.

got accepted for a free course!

Yes, Informatics at SM City Cebu. On Monday I’ll be starting my classes for a Web Design short course at Informatics. I’m glad as this is free and I’ll even be getting some allowances. I’ve been wanting to study web design and development to learn more information and improve my skills over the internet and such.

I’m praying that this TESDA and Informatics class would be fulfilling. I’m crossing my fingers that my teachers will be well-adept even if this is just a free course. I’ll be dedicating about 102 hours of class time and juggle working in the day shift at the same time. I’m going to attend a classroom environment again. At least now I can have something to write about in this site.

TESDA application

I applied at a known institution that had tied up with TESDA because of some scholarships that they offered about web design or web development. I chose the former. Hopefully, I’ll be one of a hundred first batch who will get to enjoy the benefits of having free education. I’m still waiting for a call.

I was actually tired from the rush application; I needed to have my picture taken and the school was about to close. I just came from my shift which made me really exhausted as I had to travel to the main house to get my diploma and then go to the mall to submit the requirements. I had to ride a cab in both locations just so I could rest quietly during the commute.

So much for that, I hope I get accepted.

been calling TESDA

I’ve been trying to call TESDA so I could inquire about courses that are being offered at a better rate so I can apply for a short course related with IT, multimedia and web design. Just a certificate course so I could while the time away since I haven’t gone back in school yet.

But the TESDA telephone department hasn’t been really open probably because of a number of callers inquiring about the programs available.

Temporarily anyway.

I should change the “Small Talk” details in my sidebar but I have to find time first, like I have none.

I plan to go to the gym to get in shape, I plan to enroll in a class in TESDA or in Informatics, depending on how constricted the budget is. Anyway, it’s the company who’ll pay for my education as it’s part of their program for regular employees.

Right now, I’m just living a bum’s life; waiting for opportunities in my blog and looking for freelance jobs. It’s the right time to practice my skills in photography. I should be able to attend a club and participate to hone whatever I have. It’s nice to really do nothing for a while.
