watching my steps

It’s July and it seems that I haven’t done a single thing out of this break that I’m supposed to take advantage of. I’m a bit cash-strapped with all the activities going on plus the accounts d need to settle.

On my Things to Do, I only have 2 left that are needed to be accomplished.

  • Buy a DSLR
  • Buy a Laptop
  • Go/Travel Outside the Country
  • Pay School Debts

I thought I’d never even reach the 2nd on the list but I was able to. Now I’m just making sure that I have enough cash so I can pay my old school accounts as well as be able to travel before the 2nd semester starts. Sigh. I can’t seem to wait to earn enough cash but I’m at a loss where to go for that extra income. Sure, there’s blogging, but I’m just tired of looking for other opportunities and I can’t seem to wait anymore. Anybody who has some money-making tips fast? PS: Go away Spammers.

got back

Got home from Manila for a business trip. I’m tired already. I felt like I had no use. Anyway, it’s been a busy week for me considering the changes that have been going on. I’m still contemplating if I were to study this semester or not. I’ll give it another week before I decide.

official print out of grades

Went to the Main Campus of University of San Carlos and got my final print out of my grades (finally!). I headed to the department chair after my work at the office and talked with the head.

I’m an Economics major (go figure) but I have plans to shift to another course since the Commerce department closed out all their applications for new students and shifters because of the number that applied last semester. I’m not too sure right now if I’m going to continue this course as I just want something that will make me go through college fast.

When I talked the chairman, he asked me if I work outside. I told him yes and that I work in a call center. He replied “Good, cause we’re conducting a study.” but he didn’t expound further. I just nodded my head cause I wanted to sleep already since I just travelled to the campus because of that piece of paper.

He also asked if I wanted to pursue my major or if I’ll shift this coming school year, I told him that I’ll have a month’s time to decide. Oh well,at least now I have something to present to HR as proof of my grades.

grades last semester

My grades last semester. The subject I really hated, Religion, was also the subject where I got the lowest grade. Obviously, the teacher didn’t like me despite doing my best to connect. But hey, I still don’t like her either. I’m just glad that I don’t have to face her again.

grades

I am proud to say that despite having a full time job at night, I never went absent for laziness. Although, I missed two days of school because of a seminar I had to attend at work, I never missed a class. Although, announcing this may make me seem like I’m such a dedicated student (read: LOSER), it has been something I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. And I did!

I got these grades online, apparently because the system at school sucks. I have to wait for a number of days before I can get the official printout which is what I need to present to work.

getting my grades

I went to the school since it’s already two weeks after the end of the semester and I needed to look at my grades so I can have them printed out because of having to submit it to HR since I was under a scholarship program.

I came from the office and when we got there, I was able to check my scores. Except for Religion (which had been a real pain in the butt), all of my grades were okay. Will be posting my grades next.

Anyway, I’m really upset that I can’t get a printed copy of my grades just because they haven’t released it yet.

I was told that I had to wait for the chair because they weren’t officially released. To think that those teachers were already given a deadline; everything should’ve been finalized already. I was able to see my grades online, it’s so easy to have somebody just print that out. However, because of process, people can’t just directly grant your request. Who am I anyway, I’m just a dot in a line.

My blood pressure was probably running high at that point because I didn’t like the way that I was passed on from one department to another just to get a copy of my grades when in reality, it’s my right to have one. It’s so lame that I have to wait for probably a month or so because of the procedure and the lack of it.

C’mmon, I’ve already paid my dues in the school, I should at least get a fine print right away. It’s upsetting how the system is; it’s always been my issue when I went back to college. I hate the way I’m being moved from one place to another, like a pawn in a chess game. Somebody’s always controlling you and you can’t do anything about it because those are the rules. It makes you wonder how the school pride themselves for having the good quality education and for being labeled as prestigious when a simple arrangement can’t even be met.

What’s the use of paying when we’re not getting the service we, students deserve? Hahay, bwisit.

haven’t updated

I don’t know why I haven’t updated this site as much. Probably because I haven’t been able to attend school due to the vacation? This was my dilemma before; I have other personal blogs so usually if there are no activities in school, I wouldn’t be able to post a blog entry or two. I don’t usually post news at work, even general ones because I don’t want to get compromised and penalized for publishing topics that can test how much of a risk taker I am. Besides, I’m particularly careful when it comes to these matters.

So here I am, trying to come up with something just to write an entry. Will probably update you guys after a while. I’m still waiting for my final grades for last semester.

Just rested from a practical basketball exam in PE14. Our instructor said that this Tuesday will be the last day that we’re going to meet. Yes!

So glad that next will is already finals week. I’m tired, pooped, burned out, whatever. I’m happy that the semester will be over before I even know it.

Time flies by when you’re busy; and when you can’t keep track of time anymore (even more is sleep), you just tend to get stressed since you want things to be over and done. You panic a bit since everybody’s in a rush to finish and settle obligations and requirements

So I’m here again, trying to maximize what I can in order to make the most out of the situation. Will have a quiz later in our Hist15 class and I haven’t even got past half of the slides that our teacher gave as our notes.

Come what may.

two weeks’ notice

Two more weeks before the semester ends! I’m glad I won’t have to worry about the routine that I’m doing for the past four months.

I’ll probably be taking up other activities during summer so the original plan of taking classes would be cancelled. There are a number of things I plan to do by that time and I’m too pooped to even think about taking 9 more units without taking a break.

For now, I’m already swamped with different projects for the Finals which is already next, next week.

dilemma again

School is about to finish and I’m very glad that I took this semester’s classes. But I’m still thinking about other options again. Somehow I feel bothered with the type of course that I took.

I supposedly went back to school in order to just get a diploma for formality sake. I took up Engineering before and I was planning to transfer to a Business Administration course. However, because I was closed out (they didn’t accept any shiftees due to the volume of students who also shifted), I tried to find another one that was more or less similar. That’s why I took up a Business track course in Economics. I don’t want to be the next president and I just want to make sure I am able to graduate with a degree. Even when I took this course, I assured myself that I was going to transfer to another one as soon as I have more time the next semester. However, upon reviewing my status using the prospectus, I found out that I was going to be a freshman again if ever I shift to Business, even if all my subjects today are going to be credited. I’m already an irregular sophomore so it’s very upsetting that it seems like I’m going to start all over again. What’s got me thinking even more is that since I have plans to shift again, and be a 1st year student, I have the notion of wanting to finish a Computer course due to the reason that I’m getting more and more inclined to using the diploma to get serious with this blogging and unravelling the secrets of the internet scheme. I could really use this for added information. I want to create and understand how the internet works, or even just its pages.

Anyway, that’s my problem. I’m f*cking undecided on what I want. But if you ask me what I don’t, I have a lot of things to say. Sigh.

second half of the semester

The second half of classes start tomorrow. I’m  a bit pooped already considering the number of units I took for this semester. But I’m glad, at least I have something to be busy about rather than be too much exposed at work. I hate to admit it but it has seem to be too taxing even for a 22 year old. Look at those cosmetology colleges around.

Anyway, I hope I wouldn’t be battered with too much information again tomorrow since it’s the start of the week again. I have to get up for my Psyc 1 class, pray that the prof will be present in CS 11 and wish that Re Ed 30 will wrap up soon before I go to work.
