school stuff

This post is a bit late but hey, this is my blog. hehe. I wanted to post pictures and random thoughts of things I had to deal with or things that would pop up in my mind whenever I’m in school. Since I can’t really define these in a specific category, I’ll just label this as ’school stuff’.
————

1. Shoes – SNEAKERS
Photobucket
After a long and tiring debate (with myself), I finally submitted myself to buying a couple of Chucks. Since I’m exempted from wearing the uniform, I knew I had to get something more comfortable whenever I run the halls of the school (yeah, just like John Mayer’s song). I’m more of a Puma fan but I had to concede and buy a pair of Converse shoes only because I couldn’t find a simple one in the former. I didn’t have any other rubber shoe that had a lace and I needed one for my PE subject so I had an excuse to justify the expense.

2. Night Owl
Photobucket
Everyday, I went to school at night because I still had classes even at the late hours (up to 9pm! on Tuesdays and Thursdays). I’d usually grab a couple of drinks to hydrate myself at night and eat outside, usually at a Siomai sa Tisa branch in front of the main campus of University of San Carlos just to get my fix for dinner. Anyway, I’d still have to work when I’m at the office. This is pretty tiring for me because after my classes at night, I’d have to go directly to the office by hiring a taxi as I’m already tired whenever I have to take the public jeepney to IT Park.

3. Class Schedule
Photobucket
I don’t know how many times I’ve stressed this out in my blog but last semester’s schedule (like any other schedule that I ever had) was pretty hectic. You might think that it’s really not that confusing but mind you, aside from having to study during the day, I had to work and spend 9 hours at the office at night from 10pm to 7am. I also maximized my time and took 20 units of study load that’s why it added to my dreary state wherever I was at.

4. LUNCH!
Photobucket Photobucket
Last semester was also unhealthy for me. Aside from not having enough sleep, I’d usually buy fried chicken at Tagala’s Chicken in front of the Talamban Campus. I love this chicken because of their sauce and the skin. haha. I still eat a full meal at times but sometimes I just can’t resist eating these school favorite. I also had to keep myself full because of the energy that I needed to go through the day since I was awake most of the time. As a result, I actually grew big instead of getting thinner because I never deprived myself of food. I also bought some fruits, usually an orange to get that much needed boost whenever I’d need some vitamin C to also keep me awake.

5. School Shuttle
Photobucket
When I’m at the Talamban campus, my room is situated at the Arts & Sciences building which is pretty tiring because you’d have to hike (not walk) going to my classes. Not in my case as I take the school shuttle to get me to my destination. Having a room that’s far is at times an advantage because you can get a little exercise that’s necessary but when your class is at the middle of the day and you just got off from work, you’d rather hire a shuttle and pay 5 bucks than torture yourself under the scorching heat of the sun.

6. Fountain
Photobucket
Free water! haha, like I said before, I needed to hydrate myself most of the time because I seldom bring a water bottle with me and I’d most likely forget to replenish liquids that had been lost in my system. Good thing there are reminders like these put up in strategic places in school so I can drink. Only problem is at the Main campus, the water current usually doesn’t go as fast whenever I’m at the 4th floor.

7. FIELD TRIP
Photobucket
Haha, field trip. I wondered how I was able to attend this one even if I already had a busy schedule at work. I could’ve just gotten a pass since I already have a job that would serve as my excuse but I liked the teacher and the class. I felt like a teenager again surrounding myself with my classmates on an excursion to the South for my Hist15 subject.

8. Bible!
Photobucket
Because of my Religion subject (ReEd30), we were required to bring a bible whenever we’d have a class. So, as an added baggage to my messenger bag, I’d have to endure an extra bump to comply. It’s a good thing I’m done with the subject. It’s the subject that I had the lowest grade too! Just because I don’t conform to what the teacher wants (she’s old), doesn’t justify why she should give me a low score. It’s just a case of minor subjects wanting to feel important. I’m just glad that I’m done with it.

9. Doodling
Photobucket
When classes get so boring, I try to find ways to entertain myself. Apart from taking pictures of random things with my point and shoot camera, I normally doodle; if you even call it normal. I can’t seem to stop doodling, thinking that time will pass right away. But come to think of it, it usually does. haha. I just do my best not to get caught.

10. Sleeping in CLASS!
Photobucket
This has to got to be the best part in school. Mind you, although I comply with my responsibilities and projects, I find time to sleep aside from doodling. Sometimes I wonder why I just don’t skip the day altogether but I guess I gave true meaning to the phrase “physically present but mentally absent” especially when I don’t like to listen. Somehow, I always get away with it; probably because I still don’t disappoint myself during exams.

So that’s it, for now. I still have a lot of random things to talk about but it would be overkill to think about other school stuff that comes to mind. Finally, I’ve posted this entry!

ReEd30 finished!

The last and final subject I needed to finish the exam with is finally over. I also submitted our project for this subject. Religion,I can’t believe I made such a fuss over this project when this is only a minor one.

I remember high school during art projects that require us to burn the sides of the paper into to make a cute (what a word) presentation. Now I’m trying to re-live this over-used method. At least I made something without looking as if I didn’t make much effort because I did. Now don’t fail me now bitch.

It’s the end of the semester and I’m happy!

almost done

Just had my exam in Psyc1 and later on will be ReEd30. I wasn’t able to study so I guess I won’t have that high a grade when it will be finalized. Anyway, I’m almost done except for that one subject.

I’m ready to find other ways to earn extra income online now. I’ll probably enroll in a short-term course for web design and such. We’ll see.

Just a couple of quick snapshots of me trying to go through my Accounting notes. I don’t know how it ended up like this, I tend to be a neat person but somehow I just had to pile everything up and be a slob.

Doesn’t it feel like information is scattered all over the place? Hope that my grades won’t be as like that as well.

ReEd30 pissed

That Religion teacher is really pissing me off. I had to go to school and her subject was the only one that was left for the day. When we got there, we didn’t have any classes. I was planning to submit the project that she gave us but she didn’t entertain us despite waiting for her patiently outside.

This is by far, the most demanding subject I’ve ever encountered so far not because it’s very hard by nature, but because of too many useless requirements. Come on, this is just a minor subject, Religion? What is the teacher doing and why does she act like it’s the most important of all the subjects in the curriculum, of all the courses offered? Sheesh.

I don’t know what’s wrong with her, is that the problem with women who don’t have any significant other and they grow old? They tend to project the image of an old maid? Sigh.

They don’t have anybody else to torture so they torment those who are innocent. I’m just waiting for the results now. We will be having our finals this Monday; and after a couple of weeks, our grades will be finalized. I’ll be expecting something satifactory because it’s stupid to fail in Religion when I didn’t give her any reason to.

tired of old teachers

Was so tired from yesterday’s recollection. Being a dutiful pupil, I went to the meeting place early, only to find out that the teacher was late for an hour and a half. Bummer.

We went to a convent to have the silence felt properly. After lunch, I tried to wheel my way out of the scene, but she (teacher) didn’t permit me despite having a valid alibi –> work. Had she known that I didn’t have any sleep she would’ve then realize that the effort that I made to attend that recollection was already big.

She really has a negative notion of me as a student. It’s hard for people to understand you when they’re not open and I know that she isn’t, it comes with age. When one becomes old, one thinks highly of himself/herself just because he/she has the wisdom to boast that comes from experience. But hello?! This doesn’t work anymore, at least not in this century!

So there I was, trying to concentrate on the purpose of that activity, to pass the subject reflect. I hate ReEd30!

It’s been awhile since I last held some crayons.

Religion teacher’s fine now

I came in early for my Religion class today just to make sure I wouldn’t be late again and avoid causing a scene which was the same as last Friday’s.

Last Friday, she told me that I was already dropped in her subject. It came off  as a blow on my part because I’m sure that I shouldn’t be dropped. I’ve never been absent in her class except for the first week of classes, and that’s because I wasn’t enrolled yet. I was caught off guard, especially since I shouldn’t have any failing marks this semester, les I want my company scholarship to be nullified, and the money that was used be deducted from my salary. At that time, I was really pissed and was determined to talk to her this week.

This evening though, she gave us an activity and there was a point where she was distributing some activity sheets and she had to call my name. She informed that it wasn’t me whom she dropped but another student. I said “Thank you.” upon accepting the paper and felt fine already.

At the later part of the class, she called my attention to answer a question, that’s when I knew that everything’s okay. Sometimes in school, you just have to get noticed by the teacher in order for you to have  a high grade. Despite the actual exercises that a teacher gives out, once he/she knows who you are, there’s a lesser chance of you failing the subject. So did I stand out that much? So long as she knows that I’m standing, it’s good enough for me.

Much as I hate my Religion class, I have to deal with it for the next few weeks. We were advised to bring a bible. Here it is, taped altogether.

Photobucket

This bible was bought 10 years ago. Most bibles shouldn’t look like this after 10 years when well-taken cared of. But I’m still glad to be able to use it.

Photobucket

Now I have to endure the lecture.

“I just hate teachers who treat MINOR subjects as if they’re major.” –> that’s what a colleague said, AMEN to that!

another weekend to look forward to

Today’s Friday and we don’t have any classes, haha! Well, just for the first half of the day because all the professors are on a meeting. I’m happy cause I don’t have to worry about attending any unimportant activity. Besides, after I was too drained because of the previous task at work, I wanted to go home and sleep already.

At least I’m on leave today and I won’t have to worry about the quota I’d have to meet because it’s my privilege to be on  a short break. The weekend will be a long weekend, and I’ll start it off by getting a massage. My body was craving for it starting last week but because of bowel issues of my companion (peace doi!), we had to postpone it.

Today, I’ll be attending but one class, ReEd30. After that, I’ll be eating dinner with Audrey cause it’s her birthday and then I’ll probably catch up on a lot of blog updates. I’m also pretty busy with installing a lot of applications for my laptop.

But come Sunday, we’re going to have a recollection, bummer. That’s 8 full hours. I could do a lot of that already in such a span of time. So many things to do again that my weekend’s fully-booked.

I’m a bit flushed right now with all the things I need to do for tomorrow.

I was almost late during PE class because I woke up late because I had to sleep because I was too tired because I was working.

Good thing I rode a cab, good thing the teacher was late, good thing I had a classmate in front I could copy some answers from. hehe.

But now, I have to deal with Hist15’s group presentation, deal with CS11’s midterm assignment, deal with ReEd30’s short quiz.

At least it’s I’m not paying for school, at least I’m busy, at least tomorrow’s a Friday.
