I stayed at a condotel during my stay in Manila for a week. This is my view from the balcony since I had nothing much to do.

Whenever the payslip arrives, we usually have to wait a couple of days after the actual pay day considering that we were told that it gets printed in Singapore first and has to travel for quite some time until it reaches our hands. Wow, the paper where we check the breakdown of our salary has gone outside the country, lucky papers.

It’s a good thing though that the company has provided us our online payslip wherein we can check the same salary in the paper on our profile in the internet. It’s pretty nifty and convenient since we don’t have to bother anybody else for the information especially when we have questions about our income for the month.

As usual, when I check the details, I try my best not to look at the taxes that are deducted off due to the reason that I’ll just complain cause it seems like the taxes go nowhere useful. I wish we could have some San Diego tax preparation scheme where a a small chunk will just get subtracted. But I guess I’ll just have to deal with it. As they say, there are only three things that are certain in life, death, change and taxes.

Got home from Manila for a business trip. I’m tired already. I felt like I had no use. Anyway, it’s been a busy week for me considering the changes that have been going on. I’m still contemplating if I were to study this semester or not. I’ll give it another week before I decide.

I’m already 3 years in this call center industry and I’ve gained a number of experiences and hopefully I’ve grown up in some way despite still acting like a kid. I’m actually quite happy that I got accepted in this business while still young because it’s something that I wanted to prove to myself.

I talked to one of the ETEEAP representatives in University of San Jose Recoletos (USJR) and I was told that I could be part of the HRDM course considering that I am working in this business process outsourcing department. But I told her that I wanted to purse a Commerce or IT course. Never in my mind did it occur to me that I’d be part of Human Resource which just goes to show that people still have limited knowledge of the nature of work that we have.

I’d probably have to ask some Human Resources Consulting Mexico about possibilities to expand my career and education on where I can maximize and take advantage of their scholarships in the least amount of time possible.

Making the most out of the situation. Hopefully, everything will be alright.

I rely too much on online payments nowadays. Transaction over the internet seems to be pretty much faster and is more convenient considering that we’re living in a fast-paced environment. Especially with my busy schedule at work and because of blogging, I usually do everything at ease because of how I can easily access data and my bank accounts (as if I have a lot) as if I’m just searching something to entertain me online.

But of course, since we’re handling money, it’s not uncommon that people are making sure that the transactions are secure and safe. Credit card payments, paypal and other electronic fund transfers should be given extra attention cause you’ll definitely wonder where the money has gone off to. That’s why establishments like PCI compliance service is making sure that our transfers are secure. It’s a must for me knowing that I don’t want any issues online propping up.

News that really break . I didn’t even know the changes until I arrived. It was a sudden slap in the face that I wasn’t aware of; maybe it was something I anticipated but I wasn’t prepared on how to react. That’s why it was a bit of a blow on my end.

Anyway, the news was out in the open; there’s nothing left to do but just deal with it and now I’m dealing with it.

I’m cash-strapped. I haven’t received my reimbursement during my first trip yet and I still have to wait for it but I don’t know when it will arrive. I was planning to orginally buy something for the people at the office I’m assigned but I don’t have the moolah to get some delicacies so I guess I won’t be able to present something to them. I’m crossing my fingers that the money will arrive any time this week as I need to go somewhere by the end for a trip and I don’t want to feel queasy that I don’t have enough dough because it’s pretty taxing to think about it.

I’ll be going to work again and travel at the same time. This will still be because of the role that I’m doing in place of someone that was on leave. Once it the leave is over, I’ll be back to doing my original tasks. That’s why I’m savoring every moment while I’m at this since it’s going to be another stressful time once I go back schooling and working at the same time. I like the experience this summer has brought me; it’s challenging and fulfilling. But I know I should work on the double to iron out processes so I can transition properly once I turn the job back to it’s rightful owner.

My flight is on tomorrow, I’ll be off again.

I tried sleeping on a good bunk but I felt restless. My eyes were tired but somehow my mind was preoccupied. It’s probably because of the news that my brother informed during the start of my shift. But hey, I shouldn’t get all too excited for their’s nothing to expect.
